Creaholic and Timehouse started collaboration on the STAMPS timepiece in the mid-1990’s. Later, we worked together on packaging and accessories for the STAMPS collection. Unlike conventional watches worn on your wrist, STAMPS are different. Neither a pocket watch, wrist watch or wall clock, this low cost plastic clock with an adhesive back is sold in strips of four pieces which are joined together by a thin layer of perforated plastic. The consumer can purchase a package of STAMPS and separate them by pulling apart the perforated joinery (like postage stamps). With their adhesive back, STAMPS can be stuck wherever the user likes. This low cost, fun timepiece has proved very successful in the market place. Using our experience from the watch industry, we were able to develop a product with very low production and assembly costs. We developed the housing so that a decorative foil can be applied to enable infinite customisation of the dial surface. We also created packaging concepts and a range of accessories for the STAMPS. |
