Thinking sustainability through
The potential for increased sustainability is often enormous. Applying the concept of the Circular Economy—considered the economic model of the future—we work together with our client to take stakeholder requirements into account to define the scope for action:
Can a more innovative design save raw materials?
Is a more sustainable packaging concept possible for the product?
Can we design for simpler recycling or reuse?
Can logistics processes be improved to become more environmentally friendly?
In order to achieve these results, a holistic view of the value chain is required. We have deep expertise in the areas of product development, user experience and service design, which we apply when looking for inspiration and developing potential solutions. Together, we examine the entire lifecycle of products and services and, in this way, discover possible action points for improved sustainability. We then ideate and develop new approaches and concepts closely with our client. It is important to note, this can also be done in a piecemeal fashion, because even small interventions can have a positive effect on the company’s ecological balance. Improved sustainability can be achieved step by step.
